Overview

An Electric Hot Water Generator, also called a Hot Water Battery, is an industrial system that heats, stores and continuously circulates hot water using electric immersion heaters inside an insulated tank. M.E Engineering Pvt. Ltd. manufactures these units to order, sizing the tank capacity, heating load and circulation arrangement to match the client's process requirement, available space and required water temperature. System Configuration

The standard system includes:

Insulated storage tank – vertical cylindrical construction, rock-wool insulated to reduce heat loss. A typical industrial unit holds around 3,000 litres, though smaller and larger tanks can be built. Electric flanged heaters – stainless-steel immersion heaters mounted on the tank, wired for individual and staged operation. A typical 72 kW system uses 4 heaters of 18 kW each. Stainless-steel centrifugal circulation pump – floor-mounted beside the tank, drawing from the lower section and returning to the upper section to keep the water temperature even throughout. Electric control panel – houses the main isolator, MCCB protection, heater contactors, staged switching, pump starter, digital temperature controller, level protection, over-temperature protection and emergency stop. Available in manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic configurations. Working Principle

Water entering the tank is heated by the immersion heaters and continuously circulated by the external pump loop, which keeps temperature uniform and prevents layering. The temperature controller cycles the heaters on and off (and in stages, to limit electrical load spikes) to hold the set temperature. A low-water-level controller blocks heater operation if the water level drops below the safe limit, while an air vent and safety relief valve protect against trapped air and overpressure.

Standard Accessories

Safety relief valve, air vent valve, water-level gauge, SS304 water-level controller, temperature sensor, inlet/outlet and circulation-line valves, drain valve, inspection manhole, and all necessary internal/external fittings. Final scope of supply is confirmed in the approved technical offer.

Customization

Tank capacity and dimensions, total heating load, number/rating of heaters, operating temperature, pump capacity, connection sizes, insulation thickness, control-panel configuration (manual/automatic) and instrumentation can all be adjusted to the client's requirement.
